At Hossack Smash Repairs our philosophy is simple, treat your customers the way you expect to be treated. We repair our customers vehicles as if it were our own vehicle. No short cuts will be taken &  our only focus is on quality & not costing.

As we have no affiliation with any insurance company’s we are not dictated to about how your car should be repaired to save them costs. Insurance company’s main objective is to save money & Hossack Smash Repairs main objective is to do the job right the first time. We will never sacrifice quality over costing. We strongly believe that you get what you pay for these days.

HISTORY

‘Family owned & operated since 1974’

In 1972, at the age of 23 Alf Melideo started Hossack Smash Repairs in a small tin shed behind a house in Hossack avenue Coburg. From its humble beginnings it was evident early on that Alfs attention to detail, work ethic & honesty would lead him to establish one of the most reputable repair centres in Melbourne. 

In 1974 through hard work & determination Alf was able to purchase a block of land & build a factory at 174 Sussex street Coburg, where Hossack Smash Repairs has been located ever since. 

In 1996 the building behind its original site was purchased & an extension was completed & in 2008 land on the side was purchased & a new factory & extension were built & the business has grown into a Coburg institution. 

In 2004 two of Alf’s sons, Adam & Chris began to work in the business & have now taken over the running of the business.

Alf, even though semi retired still can’t stay away from work & comes into work every day & keeps his finger on the pulse.

‘This is my baby, I started it with nothing & it makes me proud that my boys have taken it over & continue to run it. We have been around for 50 years & hopefully Hossack Smash Repairs will be around for another 50 years. It will be unbelievable that if one day I created a business that has been around for 100 years. “
